Musical interlude 3: glorious music

YouTube continues to amaze for the variety and quality of its music. Today some classical offerings which I have experienced for the first time just lately on YouTube — thanks to my Huawei Pocket WiFi.

Chinese pianist Lang Lang 郎朗 gives a superb performance of the American jazz age classic Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin.

Jonathan Scott on the organ of Albion Church, Ashton-Under-Lyne plays Handel’s Latgo Ombra mai fu from Xerxes. Quite a contrast to my first selection!

Russian pianist Alexander Malofeev (born 2001!) plays Piano concerto in A minor, Op.16 by Edvard Grieg. Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra.

Orchestra and Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala conducted by: Riccardo Chailly: Giuseppe Verdi. “AIDA”. Atto 2. Scena 2 — with a dance sequence you don’t want to miss!

The beautiful Albinoni Adagio by Croatian cellist Stjepan Hauser  (b.1986)
