We’re livin’ in the 70s – Wollongong High style

A surprise on Facebook today, courtesy of ex-WHS student Simon Dodd and Lost Wollongong. Who is this young man?

Indeed it is I. Context: No Uniform Day  1976. The students didn’t wear their school uniforms that day so some of us on the English staff felt it only right we should wear the uniform, thus:

That’s Trevor Wootten, the Head Teacher/English, behind me. He later went on to much higher things in the  Department of Education.  Now for the names of my other colleagues. Sadly, I can’t recall the name of the one in front, but otherwise left to right we have Nadia (I think), Zbigniew better known as “Boot” as in “book”, Trevor, Ken and Gerry.

So long ago!
